Review: FitBit Charge HR (Best workout wearable on the market?)

I wanted to get into shape and with all the talk about the FitBits of the world, I definitely wanted to give them a try. I wanted something that was going to provide me with my stats while keeping track of them and giving me the run down of my workout efforts. The FitBit Charge HR seemed to be the one that provided me with all of this – and more!

I wanted to make sure that I had something comfortable, went with everything that I wore and that would also track my heart rate because let’s face it, this is definitely a cool feature of any workout product out there.

I tried out the FitBit Charge HR and I will let you know my thoughts. Essentially, it is one of the best products that I have used to track everything from my workouts to my sleep routines. It connects directly with my smartphone, so I am easily able to use the app to find out the information, as well as know when someone is calling me.

I will go over more of the specs down below, but for now, this is definitely worth a look to find out if it is the best fit for you and your workout efforts. You might be surprised at what you find as I was. I couldn’t believe all that it was capable of providing when I wore it.

Using the FitBit Charge HR

When it came to using the FitBit Charge HR, I was definitely pretty impressed with all that it is able to do. Being able to see exactly how many calories I burned, how much I exercised, how much I slept and so on was great.

The app that comes with the FitBit watch was also awesome. You can add additional information like your calories, water intake, and weight, so you can have a more accurate look into the workout and other aspects of your life. It is essentially, the all in one watch.

The little screen on the front was awesome. You can cycle back and forth through the many screens – steps, time, calories, stairs, date, etc. that you want to know without having to open the app up to do so. This made it extremely easy for me to use.

I loved the way the watch feels while wearing it. This was a big perk. I was kind of nervous that it would annoy me after a while, but that was not something that happened. I was easily able to check all the information without having to worry about not being able to have access. I also didn’t need to stick anything to my chest to track my heart rate, like a lot of the polar devices make you do.

I loved the way I could keep track of just about everything when it comes to my workout and all that comes with being able to lose a little weight and get into shape. There was no extra thing here or there to buy. I didn’t need to add anything to it, I didn’t need to worry about not being able to use the product without an extra add on.

Overall, great job when it comes to the FitBit Charge HR and all that comes with using it for your workout needs.

Downfalls of the ChargeHR

There are always downfalls when it comes to a product. I have to talk about them so you know what to expect. While everything out there is great. From using the FitBit for tracking and wearing it, it is definitely worth the cash.

One big downfall I realized was that after a year of using the FitBit, it fell apart, making it impossible to charge. The charger wouldn’t fit, which I am assuming this is an issue that does not happen with the newer options. I super glued mine back together, but it is definitely something that sucked.

As far as other downfalls, there really wasn’t any. If you get the right size, the right color and wear it all the time, then you have nothing to really worry about when it comes to the FitBit and all that it can do for you.

My Overall Thoughts on the FitBit

I loved just about everything about the FitBit Charge HR and if you’re thinking of going with a FitBit that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, then this would be a good choice to go with. You don’t have to worry about having notebooks to track everything in.

I highly recommend it to those that are new to the workout scene and not hardcore trying to work out. This product is great, but it doesn’t provide everything you might need when it comes to workouts. Check it out for yourself and see if it is something that you should consider when it comes to keeping track of working out and all that comes with those specific workouts – or just for general knowledge of your health.
