Review: Shark ION ROBOT 750 Vacuum (#1 Home Appliance?!)

Having a clean home is great, but the act of cleaning it can be quite tiring. You have to vacuum the whole house, which takes not only a lot of effort but also time. With our busy schedules, we have so many things to do that spending a couple of hours cleaning can seem impossible. For this purpose, a lot of robot vacuums have come into the market. One of the best in terms of price and operation is the Shark ION ROBOT 750 Vacuum.

Review: Shark ION ROBOT 750 Vacuum

One of the best points of this vacuum is its design. Its black and grey finish with gold trimming make it very attractive and would look well in a modern house.

There are three buttons on top of the vacuum: Dock, Spot, and Clean. The first button lets the robot know it has to return for charging. Spot is for activating spot cleaning mode that can clean specific areas in a spiral motion. With the Clean mode, the robot would clean randomly until it runs out of battery and it would go back to the charging dock.

The Shark ION ROBOT 750 Vacuum can also connect to the Wi-Fi network in your house so that you can control the vacuum with the help of its app. The app would let you schedule cleaning and lets you start the cleaning process directly from the app, even if you are not at home. Furthermore, if you have Amazon Alexa or Google Home, you can use voice commands in order to tell the vacuum to start the cleaning process.

The robot vacuum has lights that would light up whenever an error occurs. If the lights on the Spot and Dock buttons are flashing alternatively, it means that the side brush is stuck. If they light up at the same time, it means that the problem is with the brush roll. It might seem a bit confusing, but with the help of the mobile app, you can directly tell what is wrong with the vacuum. Moreover, when you know what is wrong with the vacuum, the app would also tell you how you can correct it.

Shark ION ROBOT 750 Vacuum: Cleaning

The robot vacuum has been designed such that it uses the main brush roll to agitate the dirt, dust, dander, and hair and capture them and any other unwanted particles. The brush roll would not only keep the floor clean but also keep itself clean. It has been designed to be a self-cleaning brush so that your time spend maintaining the robot vacuum is almost next to nothing as you won’t have to clean any dirt, dust and other unwanted particles from the brushes.

The robot vacuum also has two side brushes, which are a great help in cleaning of the corners of the floor and edges properly. From the two cleaning modes, the default cleaning mode is more suited for daily cleaning and can even be used manually. The spot cleaning mode concentrates more on smaller areas with its spiral pattern.

For navigation, the robot vacuum has sensors on which it relies so that it can find its way around the room and wouldn’t bump into walls and furniture in the room. Moreover, it won’t fall down the stairs with the help of its sensors, so you won’t have to worry about leaving the robot alone while it’s cleaning.

Shark ION ROBOT 750 Vacuum: Worth It?

Shark started off as a small company that was an expert at providing home care products like small appliances and cleaning solutions. It also produced upright vacuums, steam mops, and garment care products. Even though it was an expert in vacuum and other home care products, it took Shark a relatively long time for it to get into the robot vacuum field. However, people have been loving its ION ROBOT vacuum ever since it was produced.

The robot vacuum has not been designed to be a direct competitor of the upright vacuum. Rather, it is a way to let users clean floors and carpets without bending or keeping their back stiff, which usually happens with an upright vacuum.

Customers loved the fact that the manufacturers have added extra side brushes so that they can be replaced whenever the original ones stop working. Moreover, its accessories and replenishment kit are a lot cheaper to get than with most other robot vacuums. They also appreciated saving on home cleaning services and saving time.

People were found praising the fact that they could restrict the vacuum from going to certain areas with the help of bot boundary. Moreover, they would know if the vacuum is stuck anywhere with the help of the audio alert.

All in all, it is a good enough vacuum as it is very easy to use and isn’t an expense to buy.
