If you’re looking for a way to jot down those notes, but don’t like the feel of chalk, they make markers for that! These chalk markers are as smooth as butter while writing on any dry erase or chalkboard. Giving off a clean, finished look and with no smudges, you can have a perfect look time and time again when you use them.
I have been using these markers for some time and they have provided me with a way to decorate my dry erase calendar easily. I like to do doodles that go along with the months and then get creative with other decorations and through the use of these markers, I am easily able to do just that.
Let’s take a closer look to see what else these chalk markers can do, while also giving you an idea of whether or not they’re the best for you to use for whatever needs you have.
Ease of Use
These chalk markers are easy to use. They provide a clear, concise picture, word or whatever you’re using them to draw or write. They have a steady flow of ink, which is ideal and you really do not have to do much in order to keep them going. Just shake, press down gently and then go!
Additionally, removing the chalk from the surface is equally as easy. You can use a plain washcloth or paper towel with water or you can go with a baby wipe, which is what I use. Wipe everything off and then dry with a paper towel. The surface looks brand new once again and you don’t have to worry about smudges or areas where it wasn’t completely erased from the surface.
Quality of Chalk
The quality of the chalk that comes out of the markers is the best. I love it because it is bright, thick and smooth. You will not have an overabundance of chalk that comes out and you do not have to worry about them being too dry or too hard to write with because of that. Additionally, the chalk doesn’t have bubbles in it when it is used on the surface, which I found with some of the other chalk markers out there.
When it comes to using these, they’re easy and they come out with a flawless finish. Lightly blow on what you draw or write to have it dry and you have a finished product. Since it is chalk ink you want to make sure that you try not to smudge it after it has dried.
The chalk seems to last for quite some time on the board, which is something I love. Since I do a calendar, it provides that bright, beautiful look that I want. Of course, it only stays on the board for a month since I have to change it out for the next month to come, but it does the job and it does it well!
As far as overall long lasting, I am not sure. I have had these for a few months now and they’re still going strong. I love that they added chalkboard stickers with the set because I have been labeling things with them. You can even wipe the labels off and then reapply a different word or picture on them. This was something I found useful and also pretty cool.
If you want something permanent, then these are not going to be the markers to go with. You want to use something that has a more permanent appeal until it is cleaned off.
The only downsides that I found were that the tips can fray a bit with repeated or hard use. They seem to have frayed when pushing down on them hard to get the ink flowing or if you let children use them that are a bit rough on them. You want to try to refrain from this and perhaps not buy these ones if you want to let children draw with them, as the tips are not as heavy duty as you might want.
Overall, great for adults and you just have to be mindful of how hard you push down on the tips of the markers when getting the ink to flow for the first time.
My Overall Verdict
My overall verdict on these chalk markers is that they’re perfect! I love using them and they provide me with a way to do all of my dry erase projects with colorful colors! They are vibrant, easy to use and they did not cost much, which is always a plus. If I need to get more, then I am definitely going to get another pack of chalk markers from them.
If you’re thinking of adding Chalk Markers to your wants, then these can be the perfect ones to add on there. Make sure to check them out for yourself and see how they work. It is well worth it to have them when you want to draw or write something down quick on a chalkboard or a dry erase board.
