Last month when I was visiting one of my friends from Oregon, I had the opportunity to try out the orbit dry herb vaporizer by VaporFi. Let me start of by saying that I’ve had the luxury of using portable vaporizers in the past and wasn’t too impressed, so my hopes for this vaporizer wasn’t too high. Well – I was blown away. Especially since it’s only $99.99.
Before we get into my experience, let’s cover the specs:
- Battery Capacity: 2200 mAh
- Heating chamber capacity: 1.7 ML
- Colors: Select between Black or Red
(1) 2200 mAh Rechargeable Vaporizer
(1) USB Charging Cable
(1) Cleaning Brush
(5) Mesh Replaceable Filters
(5) Silicone Mouthpiece Covers
(1) User Manual
Let’s begin with the chamber, the 1.7 ML chamber will hold enough dry herbs that a whole group can vape. Once my friend and I loaded up the chamber, I was also impressed by how quickly the herbs heated up. Now keep in mind that the device does have 3 different heat levels. That means, if you are looking for a small draw, you’ll have to use energy level 1, for the strongest draw, you’ll be using energy level 3. I do recommend to begin at level 1 otherwise you might feel overwhelmed.
So my first concern once the vaporizer was heating up was whether or not I was going to smell any burning smell. I’ve had this issue with past vaporizers that I’ve tried, so this was first on my list, and I was pleasantly surprised that throughout the whole session, not once was there a burning smell.
When it came to the actual vape, it was very smooth. There was also only a faint smell coming from the vaporizer so for those of you who are looking to be discreet, this device definitely fits the bill.
The battery life of the device is good enough, you can typically get 5-6 sessions out of it, and it completely charges within a couple hours.
Now that I’ve covered what’s so great about the vaporizer, let’s talk about the slight downfalls.
What I’ve noticed is that during a long session, the tip of the vaporizer will become hot. So I highly recommend that you utilize the silicon tips that come with your package. It might make the device look a bit less appealing, but comfort > aesthetics. If you need to buy extra tips, you can grab a (5) pack for $6.99 from Vaporfi.
The next thing would be the mash filters. You will find that every 3-4 sessions, you will have to replace the mash filter if you want to have the same high quality vape. You can buy a pack of (5) for just 3.99 from Vaporfi.
To bring this review to an end, if you’re looking for a sexy looking vaporizer that provides a high quality vape with a faint smell, then the Dry Herb Vaporizer by VaporFi is a clear winner.
