Review: Addys Focus (Warning: Do Not Buy Unless You Want To Lose Money)

Today, we will be reviewing a brain supplement known as Addys Focus; a brain supplement that has been commonly referred to as the limitless pill. The significance of this review is that this will be the first user requested product review! Glad to see the website growing.

Two weeks ago Scott sent me the following email:

Hello Mark,

What I wanted to ask you is if you can possibly review a product for me. I’m a college student, so I don’t want to risk spending money on something that isn’t worth it. The product is called Addys Focus, it’s a supplement that is supposed to improve your concentration and give you a good energy boost. If you can use it and post a review, I would be very grateful.

Thanks,
Scott T.

First of all, this wasn’t the first brain supplement that I’ve used. I’ve actually used OptiMind, and still am.

When I received Scott’s email, I was quick to look into ways of buying a bottle and luckily, I found out that the company is actually offering a free trial (well you do have to pay $5 for the shipping…)

Once I placed my order, I waited about 3 days for a bottle to be delivered, so as of this post, I have had 10 days to put together my opinion on the product. First of all, let’s see what Addy Focus promises:

  • Increase in energy
  • Increase in concentration
  • Improvements in memory
  • Improvement in critical thinking

How does it do all that?

Apparently, Addys Focus is composed of nootropics. Nootropics is a fancy word for “smart drugs”. These are the following nootropics you should find in Addy Focus and what they do:

  • Tyrosine – creates neurotransmitters that promote mental alertness
  • L-Theanine – improves focus
  • Bacopa Monnieri  – increases blood blow to the brain (guessing this might help with critical thinking)
  • Vinpocetine – improves the brain’s utilization of glucose, increasing energy production.

So on paper, the product looks effective.  But does it work it actually work? Let’s get into my review.

Addys Focus: My Review

Addys Focus

Three words. Expensive coffee pill.

The effects that I felt from taking Addys Focus was akin to simply overdosing on coffee.

Did I get an energy boost? Yes I did. Did I seem more alert? Yes I did. Do I receive the same effects from grabbing a black coffee from Dunkin Donuts in the morning? Just the same.

What made the experience even worse was that I dealt with an upset stomach and the repeated crashes. After a couple days of giving the pills a try, I gave up on them and threw the whole bottle out.

Even though Addys Focus promises the use of all those nootropics, I have good reason to believe that the dosages they used for the nootropics weren’t significant enough.

Here is the worst thing about all this, if you weren’t sharp enough to realize that Addys Focus will charge you 14 days after placing your ‘free trial’ order, then you’d wake up to a $70 charge on your credit card.

$70 for a bunch of coffee pills, in my opinion, is very expensive. Especially when you can pick up a quality coffee pill for $15 which contains 60 capsules.

Overall, Addys Focus is not worth your money.

If you’re looking for a brain supplement that works and is leading in the industry, I highly suggest reading my review of Optimind. This supplement has been covered by many large editorial websites such as Vice. Most of all, they’ve actually conducted actual case studies on their product, and have positive reviews all over the web. In addition, unlike Addy Focus, you can receive a free sample for $0. You don’t have to pay for shipping or anything!

Keep in mind, Addys Focus actually charges you $5 for ‘shipping & handling’ when you want to pick up a sample.

  1. I ordered the trial bottle of Addy Focus, about a month ago. It is mostly caffeine, and of no benefit at all. Today I received two more bottles that I didn’t order. My credit card was charged $59.95, without my authorization. I have refused delivery and contacted the credit card company of a fraudulent charge. THIS IS A SCAM. Do not do business with this company. You will regret it.

    1. Gary, I’m sorry to hear that. Unfortunately the company preys on people don’t reading the small fine print when it comes to future billings.

You can reach Addys Focus at the following phone number: (888)-298-0291

Keep calling and insisting on a refund, especially if you rejected the delivery.

Worst comes to worst, you will have to look towards filing for a chargeback.

      1. Hey, I called about unauthorized charges today got hung up on after Rep. John told me to scroll down to an additional terms and condition to auto charges to trail customers. They’ve set up two separate term sections to scam with, section 2.1 and scroll down OMG! Another 2.1

        1. Nila,

I’m sorry to hear about your experience with Addy focus. As my review has stated, the company is quite shady when it comes to making it clear to their customers that they will be auto-charged after their free trial. If you’re looking to get your money back, your best bet would be to contact your credit card company and initiate a charge-back. Majority of CC companies allow you to charge-back charges from 60-90 days ago.

If you’re still in the market for a working brain supplement, I do recommend that you give OptiMind a try. You may click here to view my Optimind review. Keep in mind, OptiMind does offer a free trial as well, and they will also bill you after 14 days. BUT, you can easily cancel your subscription online if you do not like the product. Unlike Addy Focus were calling them will typically get you nowhere, you’ll receive an account with OptiMind and you’ll be able to edit your subscription instantly.

          Thanks.

    1. Yes Tim, we agree – which is why we suggest our readers to take a look at the Optimind Supplement as a legitimate alternative.

  2. I did their trial like you said. It was on facebook. I have sent emails and called 1-800-638-4141 and left messages to stop sending this stuff to me yet they still keep coming. I had only wanted to try there Camomile Calm due to having had a very stressful year and not wanting to go on prescription meds. Inever wanted the Addy Focus. Now I cannot get them to stop sending and charging me for both!! I lost my employment recently and couldnt afford them to charge me anymore but that is exactly what they keep doing. I almost bounced a mortgage check because they wont stop. Im about to cancel my debit card because they wont stop. . I was hoping that perhaps you have a different contact number i can try. Please let me know any information you may have.

    1. Marjorie,

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been taken advantage of by Addys Focus.

Unfortunately, that is the only phone number I have for them.

As I’ve suggested another reader do, look towards filing a chargeback with your credit card company. You should be able to have them reverse the last two months you’ve been charged for. They will also help you stop any future charges from them processing. On Google, search: [your bank] initiate charge back
For the [your bank] place holder, just input the bank that issued the credit card that you used for Addys Focus.

Let me know how it goes.

      Thanks,
      Mark Ortiz
